Monkeys Took My Jetpack #7: The Chris-mas Adventure, Part 2
Well, this seems to be the month of possible finalities. Last week, we had what will probably be the final feedback show, and this week, we post the second part of what may be the final holiday special as we currently know them. This is not to say holiday-themed gaming will not occur; it’s just … well, you’ll have to listen to the episode and learn for yourself. As always, your comments both here and on our forums are welcome.

I mentioned a really cool comic called “Happy D20 Adventures” in this episode, which I may or may not be involved with. You should totally check it out.

Whoops. Sorry about that, sir. I didn’t realize it had its own site. I thought those were just being published in the DrivethruRPG Newsletter. Mia culpa.
Listening to the podcast now, and I just have to ask: Josh, was your “Watch out for snakes” (Gummi snakes, no doubt, under the circumstances) an MST3K reference?
Considering the “long tail of the comet” theory of
digital downloads, it may be helpful to bear in mind
that MOST of the listeners to your Holiday shows
will be hearing them months away from December.
With that being the case, I think you should be proud
as hell of this 2 part adventure. It will help bring the
warm spirit of celebration to millions ( think big ) during
those long weeks of July humidity and hot August drudgery.
I mean . . . think of it !
This adventure had tons of sugar, gluttony, sibling rivalry,
betrayal, violence, bitter squabbling, things breaking,
drunkenness . . . ALL of the key elements you’ll find in
a traditional Family gathering during the Winter Holidays!
On a less tongue-in-cheek note . . .
Blindgeek. Most podcasters take their audio, dust it off a
bit and post it. Your attention to production value and
enhancement of these play sessions polishes the work to a diamond
sheen and sets MTMJ like a jewel on velvet.
You’ve set a very high bar for other Actual Play podcasts
to aspire to. May the gods keep you strong!
..
Well, thank you, my friend, for the wonderfully kind words. I’ll keep this up as long as I am able. It’s a lot of fun.
And by the way, to you and a couple other people who’ve been waiting, sorry it took so long for me to approve these comments. will be more vigilant in the future. Go on. Keep commenting. Test me.
Thanks for your patience … and thanks, Anim, for letting me know offline that your comment was waiting for approval. Talk about a wake-up call! LOL
